What are your payment terms?

Last reviewed 8 August 2026.

Fifty per cent by wire transfer when you confirm the order, and fifty per cent when the goods are ready to ship. The first payment releases production. The second releases the shipping documents. That is the standard offer, and it is the same one in our published export offer, so nobody is surprised at the quote stage.

Why it is split that way

The first half pays for the part of the job that has no value to anyone but you. Labels printed with your brand name cannot be sold to another customer. Neither can a bespoke bottle mould, a custom carton or a closure chosen for your line. By the time we fill the first bottle, a real amount of money has already been spent on work that exists only because you ordered it.

The second half is due when the goods exist and are ready to move. You are not paying for a promise at that point; you are paying for a pallet you can inspect, with a certificate of analysis for the lot in your hand.

What each payment unlocks

  • Payment one, on order confirmation. We buy the lot, book the filling line, print the labels and start the four to six week clock. Nothing moves before this lands.
  • Payment two, when goods are ready. We release the bill of lading, the certificate of analysis, the certificate of origin, the health certificate and, for organic consignments, the transaction certificate. Without those documents your goods cannot clear customs, which is why they are the thing being exchanged.

What is not included

We quote FOB Radès, Tunisia for olive oil and Poppa Peppa antipasti. CIF and FOB to a named port are available on request. Sea freight, marine insurance, duty and your own customs clearance sit outside these terms unless you have asked for a CIF quotation. See ports and shipping.

If you need something different

Ask. Terms are commercial, not moral. What we will not do is guess: a request for open credit on a first order, from a company we have never traded with, in a country we have never shipped to, is a conversation, not a form field. Tell us the volume, the frequency and the destination and we will tell you what is possible.

Letters of credit work well for larger consignments. Raise it before production starts, because an LC brings its own document list and its own deadlines, and discovering a mismatch after the goods are wrapped is the most expensive kind of late.

Common questions

Is there a minimum order?

One pallet per SKU for OLYFO’s own brands, three pallets per SKU for private label, and one 20-foot container for bulk.

What happens if the lot fails your specification?

It does not ship. Every consignment is analysed before it leaves and the certificate of analysis for your specific lot travels with the goods. The certificate beats any number published on this website, including ours.

Do you take card or online payment?

No. This is wire transfer business. We are a supplier, not a shop.
