This page explains what OLYFO does with personal information collected through olyfo.com. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate. If anything here is unclear, email sales@olyfo.com and we will explain it properly.

Who we are

OLYFO is a Tunisian producer and exporter of extra virgin olive oil and Mediterranean antipasti, founded in 2020. We grow olives on our own farms in Kairouan and Zaghouan, and our oil is bottled and stored at partner facilities in Jammel (Monastir) and Mornag (Tunis). We are the data controller for the information described on this page.

What we collect, and why

We only collect information you type in yourself, plus anonymous statistics about how the site is used. There are three forms on this site:

The enquiry form

On our contact page we ask for your name, email address, company and message. We use it to answer you and, if it turns into business, to quote and supply you. It reaches our sales team by email and is stored on this website.

The newsletter

If you sign up in the footer we store your email address and the language of the page you signed up on, so we can send you occasional news. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately.

The shop waitlist

On our shop page we ask for your email address and your country, so that we can tell you when our online shop opens and where we ship first. We use the country only to work out which markets to open in.

Statistics

We use Google Analytics to see roughly how many people visit, which pages they read and which country they are in. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we exclude our own office traffic from the figures.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do use a small number of suppliers to run the site:

  • Brevo (France) sends our newsletter and stores our mailing lists.
  • Google (Ireland/USA) provides Analytics and Search Console.
  • All-Inkl (Germany) hosts this website, so anything submitted through a form sits on their servers.
  • Meta supplies the Instagram feed shown on our pages, and WhatsApp handles chats you start with our chat button.

Some of these suppliers are outside Tunisia and the European Union. Where that happens, transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses those companies publish.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we have a live commercial relationship with you, and for up to three years after our last contact. Newsletter and waitlist addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for fourteen months.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, send it to you in a portable file, or stop using it for marketing. Email sales@olyfo.com and we will deal with it within thirty days, free of charge. If you are in the European Union and you are not happy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Cookies

This site sets a small number of cookies. Some are necessary — they keep the site working and remember your language. Others come from Google Analytics and measure how the site is used. Your browser can block or delete any of them; the site will still work, though your language choice may not be remembered.

Children

This is a business website. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
