Tunisian Olive oil is perfect for all kinds of meals … Not only is it used to make sweet and savory dishes, but it’s also lauded for its ability to bring a rich character to any dessert.
Soft and chewy, and so easy to make, chocolate chip cookies made with extra virgin olive oil are rich and bursting with chocolaty goodness.
They're crisp on the outside, gooey on the inside and are sweetened just right with a hint of fruity olive oil.
Here is an easy recipe to make it :
Ingredients :
- 1 cup of Olyfo Extra Virgin olive oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and Dark brown sugar
- 3 cups of flour
- 1 and a half teaspoon baking powder
- a half teaspoon of salt
and of course the dark chocolate chunks
Instructions :
- Beat together olive oil and sugar on medium-high speed for about 1 minute until fully incorporated. And then add eggs and vanilla, and beat just until combined.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl until fully combined and no clumps.
- Add flour mixture to olive oil mixture, and beat.
- Fold in chocolate chunks with a rubber spatula.
Ps: Although it's tempting to go straight from the bowl to the oven, it's important that the cookie dough is thoroughly chilled before baking.
So you should cover it and wait until the dough is firm and cooled. And finally bake it in a preheated oven until the edges are beginning to turn golden, which is about 8 minutes.
Let it cool and then sprinkle the cookies with salt.
